Press Release - Elegant Introductions: the
Introductions Agency with the Personal Touch
'Starting Out'
Name of Business: Elegant Introductions
Line of Business: Introductions Agency
Partners: Hilary Jones and Bruce Wilkie
How long have you been established? Four months.
How did you decide which line of business to enter? I previously worked for a national Introductions Agency and I had thought about setting up my own business about five years ago, but put it on the back burner. When Bruce and I met we were discussing which kind of business ideas we could go into and I mentioned that I had this idea some years previously. It wasn’t the right time to do it then, but now it has been destigmatised and, in fact, it’s fashionable.
How did you come up with the company name? We tried a few, but we wanted something which appealed to both males and females and also said what we did.
What’s the best thing about running your own business?Meeting all the new people that our business attracts, it’s wonderful. It’s very exciting every time the phone rings because it’s a potential new client.
What’s the worst thing about running your own business? The long hours!
What advice would you give to anyone starting out? Apparently it takes six to seven years for a business idea to germinate and that’s certainly been the case with us. I’d say seek help and get the best professionals on board.
